Bloons Tower Defense 4Bloons Tower Defense 4 is the latest in the bloons tower defense series. This game immediately strikes me as having the best graphics of all the bloons games. The maps, weapons, and animations are simple but appear to be in high definition. Game play for BTD 4 is very similar to BTD3 and at first glance this game offers a few of the same weapons that we all loved using to journey through the 50 levels of the last game. Bloons Tower 4 offers 3 different difficulty levels, easy, medium, and hard, and 60 rounds instead of 50 for each map. The game has 6 different map settings to choose from when you start the game, and each map is also rated with a difficulty level between beginner and expert. Choose wisely because there are different strategies for defending each type of map. In game play, each round sends balloons barreling down the path of the road toward the finish the goal is to eliminate each balloon with different tower defenses. Each balloon you pop, you are rewarded with money. Money can be used during or after each level to upgrade your defenses for the next, stronger wave of whatever comes through the map. Each defense you buy has a simple attack method which the defense comes with when you buy it, but each defense also has upgrades you can use to make the defenses stronger. Example a dart monkey starts out shooting 1 balloon at a time, but with upgrades he can shoot more balloons per turn, faster reload, and more. Bloons tower defense 4 took these upgrades to a new level and no allows each defense to be upgraded not one or two, but to 5 different levels. Just experiment with the different weapons, and upgrades until you find your formula for success. One more key different in BTD 4 is your personal ranking while you're playing the game. This rank which increases after each level or achievement, is the factor which allows certain upgrades to be unlocked as your playing. Each weapon and certain upgrades require you to be at a current ranking. This makes the game fun all the way though, as you never get bored with seeing all the game has to offer until you spend enough time upping your rank. Overall with great graphics, similar game play to the Bloods TD series that was such a success, and a bunch of new added features Bloons TD 4 is a great game and sure to keep you addicted! |
